We Offer:

Your tasks will include inspecting, testing and witnessing raw materials/parts (e.g. forgings, castings etc.) for Siemens Energy turbo compressors. You clarify technical issues and tasks with our suppliers throughout Europe and ensure the required quality of the parts. This includes working with the supplier and, after consultation with the headquarter, defining possible solutions. You are responsible for meeting customer requirements for each part and material.

Task range:

• Carry out and witness inspections (e.g. mechanical properties, dimensional checks, surface quality, NDT, DT), if necessary, in the presence of customers and inspectors.

• Check the component condition according to specifications with various non-destructive and destructive tests. 

• You ensure the traceability of all components by means of component markings and record these.

• Track defined error handling measures and ensure their completion.

• Optimize test procedures, create a test report, review procedures.

• Carry out statistical evaluations. Create analyses and reports.

• Issue reports of each part, if necessary for customers and inspectors.

 What you’ll bring

  • Graduate engineer (Bachelor or Master) or technician in metallurgy or material testing.
  • High willingness to travel (appr. 70~80% of working time) Europe, Africa & India.
  • Deep knowledge in NDT (PT, MT, UT, VT) testing.
  • Deep knowledge in DT material testing.
  • Experience in quality assurance / quality control in Oil & Gas business (will be an advantage).
  • Independence and willing to travel.  
  • Good knowledge of MS Office / SAP (nice to have).
  • Assertiveness and a high level of commitment.
  • Business fluent English.
  • Basic experience in measurement technology (manual and CMM).
