Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in the Finance & Accounting area, including at least 2 years in Fixed Assets
- Solid understanding of Fixed Assets accounting principles
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Higher education in Accounting / Finance; additional accounting courses will be an advantage
- Very good communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong teamwork mindset
- Openness to work in a hybrid model (50% office / 50% remote)
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate investment applications and purchase requisitions to determine eligibility or obligation for capitalization in line with IFRS and HGB.
- Maintain fixed asset records in SAP, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, capitalization, and depreciation runs.
- Coordinate with cost center owners to confirm operational readiness of investment projects and Assets under Construction (AuC) and ensure correct recording in SAP.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities within fixed assets accounting, including preparation of the statement of changes in fixed assets in cooperation with local accounting teams.
- Support asset inventory activities as required.
- Act as a subject matter expert, responding to business requests and advising stakeholders on fixed assets–related accounting topics.
- Participate in finance transformation and process improvement projects
